The Latvian Chamber of Crafts (LCC) is an organization for professional craftsmen and women which encourages the development of craft trades in Latvia.
Activities of Latvian Chamber of Crafts:
Encourage the development of craft education
The development and coordination of apprentices' and journeymen's training programs and qualification requirements;
The placement of apprentices and journeymen with the best master craftsmen for training and insytuction;
The formation of qualifying commisions for the evaluation of journeyman and master craftsman canditates' work;
Re-training and in-service training;
The organization of crafts trainig for persons with physical and mental disabilities;
Support in scientific researches for the preservation of ancient crafts and discoveries of new craft applications;
The development and publications of teaching and methodological materials;
The organization of international cooperations among apprentices, journerymen, masters and teachers;
The development of proposals for local and national governments for the expansion of the craft-school network and improvements in the eduacational processes.
Assist in the establishment and renewal of professional and territorial craftsmen's organizations
Consultations on legal and methodological issues;
Provision of copies of historical documents;
Provision of facilities and transportation for the first working meetings;
Information of society about renewal or development of craft organizations;
Involvement of newly-formed organizations in the activities of the LCC.

Listing of craftsmen's enterprises;
Informing clients of craftsmen special skills;
Informing craftsmen's enterprises and craft masters of client needs;
Assisting in the signing contracts;
Organizing assistance in the development of business plans;
Organizes assistance in the preparation of advertising materials;
Indicating to local and federal governments how they can help in development craft field;
Organizing and information center for those who are interested to start own business;
Organizing cooperation among foreign and local craft enterprises;
Organizing expositions and markets in Latvia and abroad;
Organizing tribunals in the case of disagreement between craftsmen and client.
